TINLEY PARK, IL — A 19-year-old Tinley Park man was charged Thursday with possession of child pornography following an extensive investigation and a search of his former home.

The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children on June 23, 2022 provided information on Noah McGonigal, of the 8400 block of Dunmore Drive, to Tinley Park investigators assigned to the Cook County Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force (ICAC), Tinley Park police said Friday. This information prompted a thorough investigation by the Tinley Park Police Department that culminated in a search of McGonigal’s former residence in the 17300 block of Oleander Avenue on April 19, 2023.

McGonigal’s cell phone was recovered in the search, and a forensics examination of it yielded files depicting pornography of children younger than 13 years old, police said.
