TINLEY PARK, IL — A 70-year-old man from Tinley Park is dead following a crash in an eastern Wisconsin county Monday morning, officials said.
According to officials from the Manitowoc County Sheriff's Department, deputies were called to a two-vehicle crash Monday at around 8:15 a.m. on County Highway K at Interstate 43. There, they found a 70-year-old man in a 2005 Ford Ranger that had been struck by a 2007 Sterling truck. The man was pronounced dead on the scene.
Preliminary investigation revealed the 70-year-old did not stop at a stop sign at the bottom of the ramp off of the highway and was hit by the truck, which was traveling eastbound and driven by a 67-year-old man. The driver of the Sterling truck was not injured.
