Tinley Park-Park District Receives Financial Reporting Award
The Board of Commissioners received a Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting in the 2023-2024 fiscal year.
TINLEY PARK, Ill. – The Board of Commissioners of the Tinley Park-Park District today announced it received a Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting from the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada.
The award is the highest in government financial reporting and recognizes the Park District’s comprehensive financial report for the fiscal year that ended Feb. 29, 2024. The award is a significant achievement for the Park District and notes its transparency and full disclosure in financial reporting.
“We are honored to receive this award from the Government Finance Officers Association,” the Board of Commissioners Marie Ryan, Lisa O’Donovan, Don Cuba, Bernie O’Boyle and Ashley Rubino said in a statement. “Our guiding principle at the Park District is to provide premier opportunities for residents to enjoy their community and quality service, while maintaining fiscal responsibility and protecting taxpayer dollars.”
