Tinley Park Woman Wins Car On 'Wheel Of Fortune'

Donna Martin took home more than $30K in cash and prizes from her game show appearance Tuesday and got a chance at the final puzzle.

A Tinley Park woman won a car and more than $30,000 in cash and prizes during an appearance Tuesday on "Wheel of Fortune." Donna Martin, a retail merchandiser for a greeting card company, also made it to the game show's final puzzle, but she wasn't able to solve it.

Mason, who also has worked for 18 years as a wedding planner, won the initial contestants' round, earning herself a car and $32,630 in cash and prizes. She then moved on to a tricky final puzzle.

The clue was "a thing," but Mason only was able to guess one extra letter. Unfortunately, she couldn't come up with the correct answer of "A Quirky Subject."

Mason's appearance Tuesday might have been her debut on the game show, but it wasn't the first time a member of her family has appeared on the show. In 2002, her son, Terence, was a contestant. He also was in the audience — along with Mason's other grown son, Timothy, her sister, and "a good friend" — to cheer on his mom.
