UPDATE: 3-Man Armed Robbery In Tinley Was A Hoax
Tinley police said reports of an armed robbery in the village Monday turned out to be a hoax.
TINLEY PARK, IL —Tinley Park Police's investigation of an armed robbery that occurred in area of 161st Street and 84th showed that the incident was a hoax.
Police said Monday in a Facebook alert to residents at about 1:45 p.m. that three, black male suspects left the area in an older model black Chevy. One offender had a black handgun.
In a second update, police said the incident was a hoax.
