Here's a list of the most conservative cities in Illinois, according to the site RoadSnacks.

Illinois has been a solidly blue state for more than 20 years, voting Democratic in the last six presidential elections.

In fact, Democratic candidates have won the popular vote in Illinois by more than 10 percentage points in every presidential election since 1992.

But where exactly are the most conservative cities in the state?

The website RoadSnacks attempted to answer that question by using U.S. Census data from the 2014 American Community Survey to identify cities with populations greater than 5,000. Then they looked at which of these cities had the highest percentage of residents who voted Republican in the 2012 presidential election in order to get a “better sense of what parts of Illinois would be the most likely to back Donald Trump.”
