Top 10 Most Liberal and Conservative Illinois Colleges

To determine which schools lean more to the left or right, Niche surveyed current students and alumni regarding their personal political ideology (80 percent weight), as well as how they perceive the campus community (20 percent weight). Nearly 39,000 responses from more than 33,000 respondents were used to calculate the rankings.

As with any kind of ranking, it’s important to take these results with a (big) grain of salt since the number of respondents from each school varies, particularly when it comes to the size of the college, and that clearly can lead to skewed results.

Here are the Top 10 most conservative and liberal colleges in Illinois, with national ranks in parentheses if the school made Niche’s Top 100 overall. Do you agree with the results?
