Vandals Go on Rampage at Tinley Park Business

Vandals went wild at the old Tinley Fitness Center, smashing mirrors and windows, scrawling vulgar graffiti and spraying fire extinguishers.

A businessman recently bought the Duvan Drive building and was rehabbing the property to open a new facility, police said.

The 46-year-old man discovered the damage about a week ago. He alerted police but officers did not find any unlocked or forced doors or windows.

Extensive damage was done and graffiti was scrawled in orange and green spray paint. Two water fountains were pulled off walls and a Jack Daniels bottle was jammed into the drywall.
