Visit Chicago Southland has promoted Kim Kislowski to Executive Vice President.
Kislowski—a Visit Chicago Southland employee for 34 years—began as an intern and became Marketing Manager in 1990. Since, she has advanced to Director of Marketing in 2012 and Vice President of Marketing in 2022.
“Throughout all the changes in my life, the one true constant has been Visit Chicago Southland. Tourism has been my life’s work. I love that the industry is fun yet cherish most the good we do for the Chicago Southland by attracting more visitors and boosting the region’s economic vitality,” said Kislowski. “I’m honored to have collaborated with six Visit Chicago Southland President/CEOs including our current leader, Mary Patchin.”

“Kim has been instrumental in building stronger community relationships and visitor interest through her creative marketing strategies,” said Visit Chicago Southland President/CEO Mary Patchin. “During her tenure, Kim has been involved with all Visit Chicago Southland departments. Her experience and dedication continue to be invaluable.”
Kislowski has been the architect for Visit Chicago Southland’s website--which won the Illinois Excellence in Tourism Award for Best Website Budget A during the 2024 Governor’s Conference on Travel & Tourism in Peoria, Illinois--and all promotional literature including the annual Visitors Guide, considered the most useful tool for visitors and residents looking for things to do, places to see, eat, and lodge.
