Woman Killed On Metra Train Tracks In Tinley
A 25-year-old woman was hit by a Metra train as it pulled in to the 80th Avenue station Wednesday afternoon. Her death was ruled a suicide.
TINLEY PARK, IL — One woman is dead after being struck by a Rock Island Metra train in Tinley Park Wednesday afternoon.
The woman, who has not been identified, was 25, authorities said. She was hit by Train #511 at 12:30 p.m. as the train was making its way into the 80th Avenue station. The train was due in Joilet at 12:55 p.m.
Her death has been ruled a suicide, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's office.
