• Urbana firefighters honored for U of I apartment rescue in July (wcia.com) — Urbana firefighters were formally honored Monday night for a complex high‑angle rescue of two injured construction workers at the University of Illinois’ FAR Residence Hall last July. City leaders praised the department’s advance planning and safe execution, which brought the workers down from nearly ten stories up without any injuries to first responders.
