Did You Catch Any of that Money Flying Around Vernon Hills?
Monday's evening rush hour was made more interesting when $10 and $100 bills began flying out of a car.
A traffic jam was caused near Port Clinton and Route 45 in Vernon Hills at about 5:30 p.m. Monday when drivers began exiting their vehicles to catch money that came flying out of another vehicle, reported the Lake County News-Sun.
Vernon Hills Police believe the money, $10 and $100 bills, could have come from someone leaving their bank deposit on the roof of their vehicle, or from someone doing it on purpose, as there have been no reported burglaries, according to the News-Sun.
It's not known how much cash was grabbed by motorists, though $312 was recovered by police, according to the News-Sun.
