District 73 Earns SchoolSearch Award

Hawthorn District 73 has earned the 2013 Bright Red Apple Award, as determined by SchoolSearch. Hawthorn is one of only 78 Illinois school districts (out of 866 school districts) to receive the honor, which is based on five key factors: academic performance, pupil/teacher ratio, expenditure per pupil, educational level of teachers, and average teacher salary. 

SchoolSearch has determined Hawthorn to be strong in all five areas and has named the district a Bright Red Apple winner for the past several years.
