Fire Damages 3 Attached Homes in Vernon Hills
Plumber was using a blowtorch, according to fire department.
A fire Monday in Vernon Hills severely damaged three attached homes in the 900 block of Jackson Court. A homeowner told the fire department that a plumber was using a blowtorch in a bathroom on the second story. The fire started around 9:30 a.m. All three units affected by the fire are uninhabitable.
