Metra Parking Lot Closes from June 20-24

Vernon Hills will close its west Metra parking lot June 20 for the final phase of repairs. 

While the lot is closed, crews will mill, clean and patch the lot, reinstall traffic signal equipment and level and stripe the surface. Weather-permitting, the lot will reopen June 24, Public Works Director David Brown said. The east lot will remain open.

The work is not expected to interfere with the village's French Market, which is held in the Metra lot on Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
