Police Blotter: Woman Accused of Hitting Car After Theft

ALCOHOL
Jose Serrano, 60, of 131 Woodland Drive, Round Lake Beach, was charged with driving under the influence, driving with a blood-alcohol content above .08, driving without a valid license and unsafe lane change May 12 at Route 45 and Deerpath Drive. His court date is June 12 in Waukegan.
Anirudh D. Rangarajan, 24, of 1710 Shoal Creek Terrace, Vernon Hills, was charged with driving under the influence, driving with a blood-alcohol content above .08, driving without insurance and improper lane usage May 12 at Town Center Road and Milwaukee Avenue. His court date is June 12 in Waukegan.

ARSON
Rodney R. Jones, 25, of 7600 S. Indiana, Chicago, was charged with arson, criminal damage to property, violation of an order of protection and driving on a suspended license May 11 on the 600 block of Westmoreland Drive after police said he set fire to a vehicle in the parking lot. His court date was unavailable.

PROPERTY DAMAGE
Yauheni E. Tkachov, 19, of 954 Harvest Circle, Buffalo Grove, and Igor S. Zozulya, 18, of 944 Hidden Lake Drive, Buffalo Grove, were charged with criminal damage to property May 6 after police said they damaged pool equipment at Lifetime Fitness. Their court dates are June 13 in Mundelein.
Dylan P. Patel, 18, of 1783 N. Stanwich, Vernon Hills, was charged with criminal damage to property May 7 at White Deer Run Golf ClubΒ after police said he damaged golf course property. His court date is May 31 in Waukegan.
THEFT
A 14-year-old boy was charged with theft May 7 at Hawthorn Middle School North after police said he took a book valued at $8.99 from the book fair. His court date is June 13 in Mundelein.
Two 16-year-old girls were charged with retail theft May 8 at Windsor Fashions, 708 Hawthorn Center, after police said they left the store without paying for $78.49 in jewelry and clothing. Their court dates are June 13 in Mundelein.
Hillary A. Belfort, 21, of 109 Woodlake Blvd., Gurnee, was charged with retail theft May 9 at JC Penney after police said she left the store without paying for $339 in clothing and jewelry. Her court date is June 13 in Mundelein.
Norma Mendoza, 37, of 16343 W. Des Plaines Drive, Libertyville, was charged with retail theft April 28 at Sears after police said she left the store without paying for $97.50 worth of perfume. Her court date is June 13 in Mundelein.Β
Tiffany M. Ramos, 23, of 383 Meadowgreen Lane, Round Lake Beach, was charged with retail theft and reckless driving May 12 at JC Penney. Police said she left the store without paying for $169 in clothing and then struck another vehicle and nearly struck several pedestrians while attempting to flee. Her court date is June 13 in Waukegan.
