Hawthorn Middle School South has declared a Pi Day champion.

Hawthorn Middle School South eighth-grader Martin Bolotin is this year’s Pi Day Champion. Martin successfully recited from memory 466 digits of Pi (3.141592653…).
This incredible feat is honored with a traveling championship plaque, which is shared with his math teacher, Tim Kuehl. It will be on display until the next Pi Day on March 14 (3.14).
Congratulations, also, to other students who also exercised their brains to commit Pi to memory – Avinash Nathan (347 digits), Andrew Lee (211), Ryan Pristas (181), Donalie Black (164), Jessica Nudelman (141), and Nathan Ramanathan (111).Â
