Vernon Hills Launches Updated Village Website
It's out with the old and in with the new for the Village of Vernon Hills, which launched an updated website on June 20.
Aside from a visual face-lift, the new Village of Vernon Hills website is easier to navigate and has a more intuitive interface.
There is an "Alert Center" allowing for emergency alerts, a "Notify Me" section where residents can sign up to be e-mailed when certain events are being held, better access to forms and documents, and quick links for the village's social media outlets.
The village last updated its website nearly 10 years ago. In September 2012, the village approved a four-year contract with CivicPlus for about $54,000, according to the Daily Herald.
