Village Seeking Applications to Fill Advisory Board Vacancies
Vernon Hills is looking to fill vacancies on its zoning board of appeals and police pension fund boards.

Vernon Hills is looking to fill vacancies on its zoning board of appeals and police pension fund boards, according to a Village of Vernon Hills news release.
The Zoning Board of Appeals (ZBA) is the advisory body to the Village Board. The ZBA reviews requested variations from the Zoning and Sign Ordinances and appeals of decisions by the Building Commissioner as they relate to building activities. The seven-member ZBA meets on Thursday evenings as necessary at 7PM at the Village Hall.
The village is also seeking applications to fill a vacancy on the police pension fund board. The pension board designates the beneficiaries of said fund, consistent with the Illinois pension code. The board meets quarterly at the Village Hall, with special meetings as needed. Interested persons should send a letter of interest, along with a cover letter, to the attention John Kalmar, Village Manager, 290 Evergreen Drive, Vernon Hills, IL 60061.
