Will You 'Loop the Lakes?'

The Vernon Hills Park District's annual Loop the Lakes 5K Run/Walk at Century Park will be held Saturday, April 27 to benefit the district's scholarship program.

Register here for $20 ($15 for fitness center members) through April 21. The fee increases to $25 ($20 for fitness center members) April 22 through race day.

The race begins at the Century Park Boat Dock shelter, located north of Route 60 on Lakeview Parkway. Check-in at the shelter begins at 7:30 am. Families with strollers and leashed dogs are also welcome. The course is fairly flat and winds around scenic Big and Little Bear Lakes.

Awards are given to the top two male and female finishers in each age category.
