Vernon Hills will mark the Fourth of July with a parade, live music and fireworks.
The parade will begin at 9 a.m. July 4 at the intersection of Deerpath Drive and Atrium Drive, just south of Town Line Road. It will travel south to Sullivan Drive and then head west on Aspen, ending at Hawthorn Elementary School South.
A performance by The Big Fun Band will begin at 6:30 p.m. at Century Park. Fireworks will follow at the park, beginning around 9:30 p.m. over Big Bear Lake and Little Bear Lake.
