• Sheriff says driver accidentally crashed SUV through restaurant in Volo; no citations to be issued (lakemchenryscanner.com) — An SUV accidentally crashed through the front windows of the Jimmy John’s on West Hartigan Road in Volo on December 5, but no customers or employees were hurt. The driver, a 37-year-old Island Lake woman, mistook the gas for the brake, and officials say damage was limited to the glass. The sheriff’s office confirmed no citations will be issued.
