Western Springs Outdoor Dining Expansion To Stay

The village is following the pattern of many towns since the pandemic.

WESTERN SPRINGS, IL – Like many towns, Western Springs allowed restaurants to expand outdoor dining during the pandemic.

Now, the village is updating permits for outdoor dining, which involves liquor licenses.

The issue came up at Monday's Village Board meeting.

Guac N Taco, Hillgrove Tap and Salerno's Pizzeria & R Bar are seeking updated licenses to reflect much of the outdoor dining that the village approved during the pandemic.

Most towns are extending such dining, which has become increasingly popular.
