Western Springs Veteran Steak Fry Serves 174: Viewfinder
Patch captures the hugely successful 2012 Western Springs Rotary Club Veteran Steak Fry in pictures.
By all accounts, the Western Springs Rotary Club's annual Veteran Steak Fry was a tremendous success again this year.

The Rotary Club, with owner Linda Johnson operating the grill, served up 174 steaks from to hungry attendees. Over 100 donated steak lunches were given to area veterans and first responders to thank them for their service to the community and the country.

"It was a really great turnout this year," said rotary member Dr. John Anderson. "It was more than we even expected."
Even early morning rain didn't dampen the spirits of the rotary. Tents were set up in case the rain returned, but luckily, everyone was able to stay dry throughout the event.
