Girl, 13, Hit By Lightning In Chicago In Critical Condition: Reports
Several outlets reported the teen was struck by lightning during Wednesday afternoon's storms.
CHICAGO, IL — A 13-year-old girl was in critical condition after being hit by lightning during a Wednesday afternoon in East Garfield Park near the conservatory, several news outlets reported.
The girl was rushed to Stroger Hospital by paramedics, WGN reported.
The lightning strike happened in the 300 block of North Central Park Avenue, according to the Chicago Tribune.

Storms moved through the area Wednesday afternoon, with the potential for more severe weather through in the evening, according to the National Weather Service. Residents were also warned of beach hazards and high waves on Lake Michigan Wednesday.
