Shots Fired At Chicago Police, Hunt For Shooter Continues: Report

Several bullets hit a Chicago police vehicle Friday morning in East Garfield Park.

CHICAGO, IL — A shooter opened fire at officers in East Garfield Park Friday morning, with several bullets hitting a Chicago Police squad car, according to reports.

The shooting happened around 11 a.m. in the 3200 block of West Fulton Avenue, and no officers were injured, WGN reported.

A SWAT team was at the scene, and residents were asked to avoid the area.
