Event Details

Hope Presbyterian Church, 1771 Wiesbrook Rd S, Wheaton, IL, 60189

Oh Come, All Ye Faithful! There will be a candlelight service on Wednesday, December 24, at 7:00 PM at the church. Everyone is welcome! Come celebrate the Nativity with us!

On Sunday, December 28, at our regular service at 10:00 AM, Pastor Ron will preach on The Innocent Children, based on Isaiah 7:10-16 and Matthew 2:13-23.This Christmas story focuses on divine protection and fulfillment of prophecy. After the Magi's visit, Joseph is warned in a dream to flee to Egypt with Mary and the baby Jesus to escape King Herod's murderous plot against the children of Judea. They remain in Egypt until Herod dies, at which point Joseph is again warned in a dream to return to Israel. Fearing Herod's son, he is instead divinely guided to settle in Nazareth, Galilee, fulfilling the prophecy that Jesus would be called a "Nazarene".
