City Of Wheaton: Cole Avenue Detour Starts July 19 For Road Reconstruction

Cole Avenue will be closed to through traffic between Main Street and Wheaton Court starting Monday, July 19, 2021 as crews with the City’s contractor, Plote Construction, begin road reconstruction work as part of the City’s 2021 Road Program. This closure is expected to last approximately 6 to 8 weeks.

Detour signs will be posted directing Main Street traffic to use Harrison Avenue or Geneva Road.

The contractor will provide emergency access from Main Street; however it is suggested to enter Cole Avenue from Papworth Street. We appreciate your patience as we work to make improvements to Wheaton's roads.
