Get Pets Microchipped For Free At DuPage County Animal Services
Pet owners can get their furry friends microchipped, which can help owners find pets that go missing.
WHEATON, IL — A free microchipping event for pets will be held June 24 at DuPage County Animal Services. The microchips, provided by 24Pet, can help owners locate pets that have gone missing.
"Microchipped dogs and cats are significantly more likely to be returned to their owners," Brian Krajewski, Chairman of the DuPage County Animal Services Committee, said in a statement. "We're grateful to provide this important service to our community’s pet owners. We hope our efforts will lead to more animals getting microchipped so we can reunite [lost] pets with their families."
Visitors will also be able to pick up collars, tags, food and other pet supplies. Additionally, pet adoption fees will be waived during the microchipping event.
