How To Recycle Holiday Lights In Wheaton
Wheaton kicked off its holiday lights recycling initiative Dec. 1. See how to take part.

WHEATON, IL — Residents can get rid of their old Christmas lights by dropping them off at the Wheaton Public Works Storage Facility, 820 W. Liberty Dr., through Jan. 19.
The facility is accepting strands of both LED and incandescent lights, whether they work or not. Residents can drop off their lights Monday through Friday between 7 a.m. and 3 p.m.
The lights will be repurposed by Elgin Recycling, which will use the plastic and copper for recycling.
