Stonehouse Market Seeks Liquor License For Hale Street Store

Wheaton's Liquor Commission will review the shop's application for a Class M liquor license during a public hearing on Jan. 8.

WHEATON, IL — Wheaton's Liquor Commission is set to review an application from Stonehouse Market for a Class M liquor license during a public hearing at its meeting on Jan.8. If approved, the liquor license would permit the home goods store to sell bottled wine.

A Class M liquor license permits the sale of pre-packaged wine, ale and beer as part of gift baskets and boxes. The license also permits the sale of wine, ale and beer for consumption onsite. Currently, Stonehouse Market has a Class M liquor license for its flagship location at 111 Town Square.

According to city documents, "Staff has no outstanding issues with regard to the application and foresees no problems with recommending approval of the proposed license to the applicant."

If the applicaiton gets the green light from the Liquor Commission, it will be reviewed by the Wheaton City Council on Jan. 19.
