• ‘A destination restaurant': New Indian eatery proposed for former Tuscany site in Wheeling (dailyherald.com) — A long-vacant landmark on Wheeling’s Restaurant Row may soon become Ahara, an upscale Indian restaurant with a lounge, patio, and private event space at the former Tuscany site on Milwaukee Avenue. Village trustees reacted positively during an initial review, with formal plan commission consideration still ahead. The project joins several recent openings that signal a broader Restaurant Row revival.
   

• District 214 to spend $25 million on upgrades ahead of potential referendum (dailyherald.com) — Wheeling families should know District 214 plans to spend $7.2 million next year on major upgrades at Wheeling High School, including new offices, mechanical systems, and an auto shop roof. The work is part of a $25 million districtwide package, even as officials delay a larger tax referendum to gather more community input. New scoreboards and infrastructure fixes are also planned across other high schools.
