2 Teens, 1 Adult Charged Over Wilmette Armed Robbery
None of the charges filed so far relate to a bullet that police say was fired at arresting officers through the windshield of a getaway car.

WILMETTE, IL — Two Chicago boys taken into custody Tuesday morning in Wilmette have been referred to juvenile court, police said. The man arrested alongside them remained hospitalized as of his first court appearance Thursday afternoon.
A 17-year-old boy — who was on electronic monitoring while awaiting trial for a previous robbery case — has been charged with aggravated unlawful use of a weapon, armed robbery and possession of a stolen motor vehicle, according to Wilmette police.
And a 16-year-old boy has been charged with one count of armed robbery and one count of possession of a stolen motor vehicle. Police said both are being held at the Cook County Juvenile Temporary Detention Center in Chicago.

The two teens, and a man whose identity police have yet to publicly release, were arrested after crashing an SUV stolen Sunday from Winnetka into an condominium building at Sheridan Road and 10th Street.
According to police, someone inside the car fired a shot through the windshield at approaching officers, who did not return fire. Images from the scene show the stolen SUV with a shattered front windshield.

Officers had been chasing the stolen SUV north on 10th Street after a 63-year-old reported they were robbed while walking along Central Avenue.
Police said two semiautomatic handguns and the victim's property were found inside the stolen car when the trio was taken into custody.
On Thursday, prosecutors identified Bobby Murdock as the adult arrestee at his initial court appearance in Skokie, where he was ordered held in lieu of a $35,000 cash portion of his bail on charges of armed robbery and possession of a stolen motor vehicle.
Prosecutors also sought to file a violation the probation to which he was sentenced following a criminal conviction in Chicago. Authorities said Murdock remains in hospital for treatment for the injuries he suffered in the crash.
