  • Why Go?: The incomparable musical theatre historian Charles Troy presents his multimedia presentation focusing on Irving Berlin as he conquered Hollywood in the mid-1930s. From the scores for 3 Fred Astaire-Ginger Rogers pictures, to  the sparkling score of the Dick Powell-Alice Faye movie “On The Avenue”, Berlin went on to release “God Bless America” and the immortal “White Christmas”.  Enjoy this unique presentation of narrative, recorded songs (with lyrics on-screen), photos and film clips up on Wilmette Theatre’s silver screen!
