  • Why Go?: Strolling musicians will add music to the air of this Italian-inspired evening of shopping.  Participating merchants will offer Italian specials and other discounts that you will not want to miss!  Additionally, there will be special give-aways at select stores, along with chances to win a variety raffle prizes throughout the evening.

  • Why Go?: The students are raising funds to support their trip to the  2012 Science Olympiad National Tournament in Orlando, Florida on May 19th. Marie Murphy is only one of two teams that have earned the honor of representing the state of Illinois at this year's competition.  Come meet the kids, support the team,  and get your car washed too. The Car Wash will be held from 12pm- 3pm at Marie Murphy School, 2921 Illinois Road, in Wilmette.   Tickets will be $5 dollars each and all proceeds will go to support the Marie Murphy Science Olympiad Team.   • Why Go?: Follow the music from the Wilmette Community Band and stop in for a browse through the Museum’s newest exhibit, "Cooler by the Lake." Take a 30-minute self-guided tour of favorite exhibits like the original 1896 jail cell and "Lost Wilmette." Help kick-off our Village's 140th birthday with a tasty treat. Across the street, take a complete tour of the Police Department, including the lock-up and firearms range. Bring your own camera to take kids' mugs shots. Many special guests include the U.S. Coast Guard, Canine Unit, Bomb Squad and much more. Free hot dogs are once again sponsored by the Wilmette Optimist Club.

  • Why Go?: The teenaged actors of Wilmette Theatre's renowned Actor's Training Center are usingtheir stage talents to help, in real life, the kind of troubled youth they recently played on stage.

  • Why Go?: Tickets will be available beginning May 5 for Wilmette and Kenilworth residents who wish to hear author Ann Patchett discuss her latest novel, "State of Wonder," on May 20 at
    the Wilmette Jr. High School auditorium, 620 Locust Road, Wilmette. Remaining tickets will be available to non-residents beginning May 10. Each person may receive a maximum of 2 tickets. No phone reservations will be taken. Ticketed seats will be held until 10 minutes before the event, and, at that time, all unfilled seats will be open to the public.
