Iconic Burger Joint Opening Wilmette Location

WILMETTE, IL — An iconic Chicago burger chain is making its way to the north suburbs later this summer, village officials announced.

Small Cheval, known for its stripped down menu of quality classics, will open at the former Depot Nuevo building at 1139 Wilmette Ave. The restaurant's sign when up recently and construction on the interior is still ongoing.

The restaurant is a spin off of Chicago's famous Au Cheval, which has earned the best burger in America from Food Network. The chain has additional locations in Logan Square, Wrigleyville, Fulton Market, Old Town and The Loop.
