North Shore University Health System Coronavirus Restrictions
The health system is implementing several visitor restrictions amid concern of the spread of the new coronavirus.
NORTH SHORE, IL — The NorthShore University Health System is implementing new visitor restrictions effective Monday in response to the spreading new coronavirus.
The restrictions are designed to limit contact and boost the safety of patients and staff.
Some of the restrictions include:

- No inpatient visitors will be allowed except for extenuating circumstances on a case-by-case basis.
- Emergency Department patients can be accompanied by a family member or visitor if that visitor is not at risk for the coronavirus.
- Minors admitted into the hospital can have one parent or guardian who has been screened for the coronavirus.
