Police Investigating Sexting at New Trier

Winnetka police have launched a criminal investigation into students electronically sending inappropriate material, according to the department.

The investigation was initiated by New Trier High School officials who told police they discovered the situation, police said. It involves “several” students.

Fox Chicago has a copy of an email sent to parents by Superintendent Linda Yonke. In it, she explains that students had taken, sent or received inappropriate photos of other students or of themselves. Some of the students did not know that the photos had been taken, the email says.
