Village Explains Next Steps Toward April Consolidated Election

A lottery will be held to determine the order of ballot placement for candidates who filed simultaneously.

At the April 6, 2021 Consolidated Election, the Village of Wilmette will have four Village Board offices on the ballot, one office for Village President and three offices for Village Trustee; all are 4-year terms. The following individuals filed nominating petitions for these offices and are listed in alphabetical order:

Village President (vote for 1)

A lottery will be held to determine the order of ballot placement for candidates who filed simultaneously for the office Village President and Village Trustee. This lottery will be conducted in accordance with Section 10-6.2 of the Illinois Election Code, on Tuesday, December 29, 2020 at 9:00am in the Wilmette Village Hall Council Chambers, 1200 Wilmette Avenue, Wilmette, Cook County, Illinois.

Village Hall will only be open for election-related filings for the offices of Village President and Village Trustee. Village Hall will be open the following dates:

  • Tuesday, December 22 from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
  • Wednesday, December 23 from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
  • Thursday, December 24 – CLOSED; no filings will be accepted
  • Friday, December 25 – CLOSED; no filings will be accepted
  • Monday, December 28 from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
  • Tuesday, December 29 from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
  • Wednesday, December 30 from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Appointments are preferred but not required and can be made by emailing norwoodk@wilmette.com or calling 847-853-7511. Please come to the Village Manager’s Office on the second floor of Village Hall and ring the doorbell. All other Village services will continue to be provided online, for a list of services please click here.

The Villages respectfully requests those coming for the lottery and those filing other election-related materials to comply with COVID-19 safety requirements, including social distancing and wearing face masks, while in Village Hall.
