Water Main Breaks at 10th Street and Central Avenue

Repair crews are still working to fix a water main break at the intersection of 10^th Street and Central Avenue as of 5 p.m. Thursday.

Wilmette Police Dispatcher Matt Siegel says westbound traffic in the 900 block of Central Avenue was blocked as crews work to repair the break. 

“It’s unknown at this time when [the water main] will be fixed, it’ll depend on whether they can fix it tonight or need to wait until tomorrow,” Siegel said.
