Wilmette Art Fair Offers Fun For The Whole Family

The Wilmette Art Fair is back for another year, offering artistic experiences for people of all ages.

WILMETTE, IL — The Wilmette Art Fair is back for another year and will feature more than 100 artists showcasing their work in a variety of mediums for art lovers in the North Shore.

Nestled in Wilmette's downtown, just blocks from Lake Michigan, the art fair will take place on Aug 2 and 3 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. both days. Attendees will be able to see and purchase many types of art including paintings, sculpture, ceramics, photography, jewelry and furniture.

"There’s something for everyone at the Wilmette Art Fair from traditional to modern tastes," fair officials said.

Attendees will be able to enjoy artist demonstrations, live music and selfie stations as they explore the fair. Food and drink will be available in Ouilmette Way from food trucks on site.

For the little ones, the Kid Zone will include art fest bingo, spin art, sand sculptures, coloring and drawing. Kids Art Stops where artists invite children to learn about the art-making process.

Fair officials encouraged attendees to bring gently used wall art to donate to the Chicago Furniture Bank, a nonprofit providing furnishings and decor to individuals and families transitioning out of shelters and into permanent housing.

Donations can be brought to the Wilmette Avenue/Poplar area of the fair.

Additionally, several artists at the show will also be participating in Amdur Productions' Green Ribbon Project. Proceeds from the sales of art pieces with green ribbons on them will benefit local non-profits.
