Wilmette Park District: Welcome, Tim Johnson!

The Community Recreation Center (CRC) has a new Recreation General Manager! Tim Johnson joined the Wilmette Park District team and is excited to begin overseeing operations and staff at the rec. center.

Tim made the jump to Wilmette from his role as Assistant General Manager at Sachs Recreation Center with the Deerfield Park District. With this position he gained experience in building operations as well as supervising the staff, programs and patron retention of their fitness center. The Recreation General Manager position at Wilmette seemed a natural progression for his career. “I was excited for the opportunity to join the Wilmette Park District family and oversee the many aspects of the CRC,” said Tim.

The Recreation General Manager plays a vital role in uniting and supporting all of the recreation staff at the CRC. “I will be spending a tremendous amount of time interfacing with our amazing team,” explains Tim, “my plan is to become a major contributor with the team, and work with them to make the CRC the best it can be.”

Outside of work, Tim has a competitive streak for multisport training and competition, and in his down time he enjoys photography and spending quality time with his family. “I’m grateful for this opportunity and look forward to building strong relationships with the entire team.” Let’s all give a warm welcome to Tim!
