Wilmette Police Blotter: Sailboat, Tree Damaged, Possession of Cannabis

Criminal Damage
A sailboat stored at the Sailing Beach, 100 Lake Avenue, was damaged sometime between May 14 and 27. The left hull of the sailboat was punctured and the damage is estimated at $1,000, according to police report.

Graffiti was spray painted on the west wall of the Ridge Shell Mart, 399 Ridge Rd., sometime between June 1 and June 2.
A branch was broken off a parkway tree in the 1300 block of Chestnut Ave. The damage was estimated at $400, according to police report.

A car windshield was smashed at the 1400 block of Forest Avenue, sometime between May 30 and 31.
Possession of Cannabis
Wilmette police observed two teens smoking cannabis on June 4.
Thadeus Wezerek, 18, 1424 Forest Ave., Wilmette was charged June 4 with possession of cannabis and paraphernalia. Justin Abrams, 18, 101 Westmoreland, Dr., Wilmette was charged with possession of cannabis.
Driving Violations
Miguel Calva, 27, 637 Dr. Rosewll, Whiting, Ind., was charged May 30 with driving without a valid driver’s license after he was involved in a crash at the intersection of Lake Avenue and Skokie Boulevard.
