Attempted Child Abduction in Northfield

Police are still on the lookout for a white, middle-aged man who allegedly attempted to lure a 13-year-old girl into his car.

The is investigating a possible attempt child luring that occurred on Friday, Aug. 24, at approximately 12:50 p.m.

A 13-year-old female victim was walking home southbound on Riverside Drive near Stockton Drive in Northfield when she was approached by a white, male offender in the passenger seat of a silver four-door, mid-size vehicle. Police do not have a description of the make, model or vehicle. 

The offender opened up his front passenger side door and yelled, "Come, come here... (gesturing to come to the vehicle with his hand) come!"

The victim refused and fled the area. The offending vehicle made a U-turn and left the area westbound on Winnetka Road from Riverside Drive.

The offender is described as a white male with white, medium length hair parted to the left. He is assumed to be over 45-years-old, possibly have blue eyes and have an average height and build.

The offender doesn't have facial hair, was wearing a red polo shirt during the attemped abduction and had a European accent. The vehicle was also occupied by a female driver (unknown description) and a female backseat passenger with short, dirty blonde hair.
