Beach Parties Abound This Weekend

Teen B2S^2 Beach Bash: Middle Schoolers in grades 5 to 8 are invited to the Tower Road Beach on Friday Sept. 6 from 6 to 8 p.m. to celebrate the beginning of school. This supervised event will feature a live DJ taking requests, as well as food, games and activities — including a dunk tank! More information is available here
Farewell to Summer Luau: School may have started, but there's still time for one last summer hurrah! Join the Winnetka Parks Department for the Farewell to Summer Luau at Tower Beach on Sept. 7, beginning at 7 p.m. Lifeguards will return to their chairs from 4 to 6 p.m. David Rudolph will perform Silly Songs, and from 6 to 7 p.m., there will be a live luau dance and fire show. Adult Beach Party:Â Join the Glencoe Social Club for the annual adult beach party! This adults only event will feature cocktails and Mediterranean cuisine for dinner on the Glencoe Beach. For more information or to buy your tickets, go here.
Popcorn and a Movie:Â Calling all movie buffs! Join Toby Nicholson for a discussion of the 1959 film Ben-Hur. Pick up a copy at the library to watch it in advanced. The event is set for Sunday from 1:30 until 2:30 p.m. at the Winnetka Library Lloyd Room. More information is available here.
Art for All Seasons Art Extravaganza: Do you have a budding artist in your family? Help the Winnetka Library kick off the fifth year of Art for All Seasons. The program aims to help children develop a love of art.
