Debut of Full-Day Kindergarten at South School

District 35 prepares for the upcoming school year with a new full day of kindergarten.

A full day of kindergarten will be the biggest change for District 35’s upcoming school year. The Glencoe District 35 School Board got a glimpse of the 2016-17 school year at its July 28 meeting.

“Structured play” had not been a part of the half day schedule and will now be incorporated into the full day programming.
"Structured play is an opportunity for children to engage in dramatic play and creative activity," said Dr. Kelly Zonghetti, principal at South School, in the Chicago Tribune report.
