Author and Emmy Award winning public television host, Mark Kistler, will return to Northfield to teach drawing July 30 - August 3, but this year he arrives with a special guest in tow. Tim Decker will spend the week teaching Claymation-style animation.
Now a professor in Wisconsin, Decker worked in Hollywood for Disney Interactive and The Simpsons before making appearances on Kistler’s draw-in-3D TV show, “The Imagination Station.”

Decker now teaches animation, drawing, claymation and filmmaking with puppets at University of Wisconsin in Milwaukee and at Milwaukee Area Technical College.
While Decker teaches his specialties, Kistler will once again teach drawing in 3D with his high-energy, off-the-wall antics.

"If I can make 'em laugh, teach 'em to draw with depth and perspective and fire up their imaginations, I will help develop both the right and left sides of their little genius brains," Kistler said.
Last summer, Kistler taught nearly 2,000 kids, parents and grandparents in 13 cities across the nation. He guarantees everyone will learn to draw while gaining a hands-on appreciation for animation.
The week long camp will be held at the Lutheran Church of Ascension, 460 Sunset Ridge Rd., Northfield.
Kistler and Decker promise plenty of laughs and good-hearted fun.
