Glencoe May Change Fireworks Date, Wants Input

Those who check out Glencoe's fireworks should make their voice heard in this brief survey.

GLENCOE, IL — The Glencoe Park District's board of commissioners is asking the public's input about changing the village's Independence Day fireworks date.

The village released a survey, due by Sept. 12, asking the public's opinion.

Here's the choice: if approved, the move to change the date will mean fireworks will be shot from a barge on July 3, and viewing would once again be at Glencoe Beach on the sand.
