WINNETKA, IL — Parking rules are changing in Downtown Winnetka as construction begins for "One Winnetka," a 20,000 square foot mixed use building.

To accommodate construction activity and support downtown businesses, parking designations in the Elm Street business district have changed and will be enforced beginning Monday.

Most public parking areas along Green Bay Road, Lincoln Avenue, Oak Street and Chestnut Street will be restricted to two hours only with some portions only available for 15 minutes. Portions of the street where construction will take place will be completely closed for public parking.

Parking designations for business district employees and commuters will be restricted to zones to minimize impact with construction.

These parking designations will change due to summer events such as the Winnetka Music Fest, the Farmers' Market and the Fourth of July. Parking signs in the area will display up-to-date parking restrictions.
