Lakefront Park Closed To Public For Death Investigation: Glencoe Cops

A body with an apparently self-inflicted wound was found early Friday morning, according to public safety officials.

GLENCOE, IL — Police investigated a suspected suicide on the lakefront in Glencoe.

Officers were dispatched to the eastern-most end of Park Avenue around 6:15 a.m. for a report of a dead man or boy, according to village public safety officials.

Officials said the area would remain closed to the public for several hours for the investigation.

Public safety officials said further information would be released "as necessary."
